New to accepting credit cards?

Accepting a credit card as a form payment makes the sales process convenient but it is not completely risk free – just like accepting a cheque is not without risk.

Getting an authorization i.e. "Approved" message on a credit card purchase transaction means that the customer has available credit and that the card is not currently blocked.

However, authorization does not mean that the customer making the purchase is the actual cardholder or that a legitimate card is involved. You could receive a "chargeback" on your transaction. To help prevent this from occurring, remember to provide a receipt to the customer. You can email a credit card transaction receipt right from the PAYD® App on your phone or tablet.
